NAIV & SURREAL

COLLECTION NAÏVE & SURREAL
Naive painting is often characterized by the fact that it is carried out by autodidacts. It is called "naive" because the pictures are usually stylistically very simple and therefore often seem very "childlike". A founder of this art movement was Henri Rousseau. Motives are often landscapes or figurative representations. There are very different painting styles which lead to this result.
Individual techniques such as the point technique are very complex and require patience and dexterity. If these pictures are additionally alienated, they are called "surreal". A master of surrealism was Salvador Dali. The paintings of these artists can only be found in a few selected galleries in Cuba.
