On Cuba's alleys, especially in the old town as in Havana, you can also find handcrafted, partly excellently made "street art". These are mostly colourful pictures with the subjects very popular with tourists, such as oldtimers, cigars, old town, Che Guevara, landscapes etc. These are often reproduced many times and can therefore be offered at a reasonable price as "souvenirs".
Art sometimes differs from handicraft only by the difference between unique and serial production. The best way to understand this is to consider that a forger must be very good to get close to the original - but still his work remains plagiarism and never reaches the recognition and prices of the true master.
These pictures can be found not only in the alley sellers but also in the big markets for handicrafts. The prices are very fair and the pictures reflect Cuba exactly as you imagine it.
