CRISPIN
Havana, Cuba
1963
Roberto Crispin Campos Bermudez, was born on 23 May 1963 in Havana. His stage name is Crispin Sarra. He graduated from Havana University in 1992 with a degree in Art History. He is president of the artists association Intuitivos de Cuba. He paints naïve art and has participated with great success in over 80 national and international exhibitions. For more than 17 years, he has also directed the now famous painting studio for children and young people, La Edad de Oro. There Crispin teaches the basic techniques of drawing, painting and design. His own works are colorful and imaginative, they are mostly about women and love outdoors, in an extremely overdrawn, pictorial way. His pictures bubble with joy of life and embody Cuba in the best way.
