Jose Luis Delgado Gutierrez, born 1966, of Havana, is a self-taught. He has acquired his own knowledge of painting. A key experience for him were the books of the Cuban ethnologist Antonio Nunez Jimenez. He devoured the images of prehistoric cave paintings and created his answer: pictographs from the 21st century. The pictures are mostly based on black, white and gold and form an unmistakable, homogeneous visual language. An artist who was hardly known in Cuba until now. But what is not yet can still be!
