Dunieski Aguilera Barrera, born on 19 October 1971, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, San Alejandro. In 1993 he completed his specialty Painting and drawing with success. His painting style oscillates between realistic impressionism and expressionism. He works out his pictures with strong textures and thus invents a language of form that is completely his own. He took part in various exhibitions in Cuba and won several national prizes and awards.
